Class Description

Hatha Yoga consists of a series of stretching, toning and strengthening postures (asanas), deep relaxation, and a set of breathing practices (pranayama) that will leave you feeling tranquil and refreshed.

Hatha Yoga Level II is for people who have taken at least one full session of Hatha Yoga and feel comfortable with the series of asanas.

Easy Hatha Yoga is a hatha yoga class designed for people who wish to get back into shape in a gentle.  Individuals with conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, asthma, stroke damage or multiple sclerosis should receive great benefits from this class.  We use chairs or props for many of the postures and the general rhythm of the class is nice and easy. Our easy yoga class is a safe, gentle and non-competitive program that anyone can do.

Cardiac Yoga® is a safe, gentle and non-competitive program which is designed to assist you with cardiac risk factor reduction and can also be addressed to individuals with other kinds of illnesses due to stress. The program consists of gentle stretches, breathing and relaxation techniques and healing imagery.  You should leave each session feeling tranquil and refreshed. We use chairs and a wall for most postures and the general rhythm of the class is nice and easy.

Stress management is designed to promote a stress-less life in order to prevent physical and emotional dis-ease.  It consists of gentle stretches, breathing and relaxation techniques, healing imagery and group support. People who will benefit from this program are individuals who are experiencing:  hypertension, excess weight, elevated cholesterol, sedentary lifestyle, smoking, diabetes, social isolation, depression and other stress related discomfort.

Private Session consists of a series of postures (asanas) personally designed to energize and tone the body, followed by a deep relaxation in which the subconscious mind receives empowering thoughts. The private session will enhance your personal yoga practice and improve your life through deep attention to your individual needs.  Please call Catherine for more information.  The duration of the session is 90 minutes and the cost varies depending on the location.
